What is it?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to Australians living with a disability, their families and carers, to purchase the support they need to live an ordinary life.
The NDIS, when in full scheme, will provide funding to approximately 460,000 Australians aged under 65 who have a permanent and significant disability.
How does it work?
The NDIS takes a flexible approach, working with people with a disability, their families and carers to develop personalised plans.
Under the NDIS people with disability have more choice and control over how, when and where their supports are provided. They also have a greater certainty that they will receive the reasonable and necessary supports they need over their lifetime.
The support planning team at OZ CARE work with people and their families to ensure that they have the best possible opportunities to lead a happy and fulfilling life. We assist people to develop their own personal life plans, set their individual goals and then provide the right supports to achieve these.
