Short Term Disability Accommodation
OZ Care supports participants to engage in a range of activities and develop new skills while providing them with the opportunity to take a break from everyday life and spend time enjoying activities and achieving their goals.
It also provides the opportunity for families to take a break from their caring responsibilities and have peace of mind that their loved one is staying in a safe and supportive environment. We can book accommodation to support you on a holiday, we’ve even supported participants to go on cruises and hired a motorhome before.
The NDIS will fund your OZ Care support if it relates to one of your goals. These goals might be preparing to live independently, learning new life skills, developing new friendships or many others. OZ Care covers food, accommodation and 24/7 support provided to you for the duration of your stay.
At OZ Care, we believe that no two people are exactly alike and that no two individuals need precisely the same support.
Through our nominated service partner, Connecting Abilities, NDIS Participants in OZ Care accommodation can access Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, including Community Nursing. Support teams provided by Connecting Abilities are experienced in providing support for Participants with significant functional impairment, complex behaviors, or very high support needs.
Bilingual and multicultural support staff offer choice, decision making, independent living, safety, and dignity for all our Participants.
OZ Care supports people to build skills and capacity so that they can meaningfully participate in their community, including through access to employment.
